Wanted to try another one of these painting things, this time it's the Porsche 917K - 004/017 in the iconic gulf livery. Built in 1969, this chassis was the first of the 917s to finish a race in its entirity, Nurburgring 1000km driven by David Piper and Frank Gardner. Over time the 917's went through some changes, and eventually got to a 4.9 liter flat 12, 0-60 in 2.3 seconds, 0-124 in 5.3 seconds, and a tested top speed of 220 mph in 1975.
Would love to hear what you think of this! Trying to pay homage to a car with this much history, I was hesitant to even start.

Sauber Mercedes C9, a group C prototype from the late 80s that in my opinion is one of the best looking cars from that time. Introduced in '87, Won the championship in 1989, and then was replaced by the C11 early in the 1990 season.
